This low-cost USB BDM pod supports virtually all HC12 and HCS12 chips running at 5 Volts, and comes with flexible power options. It is powered from your PC's USB port, and can also power your target board at 5V. To keep the cost low, and to provide easy access to options, this product is not housed in a case.

As with our other BDM pods, this one is running Freescale's D-Bug12 in Pod Mode.

Features:

  • 10-pin ribbon cable (superset of standard 6-pin BDM pinout) plugs into target BDM connector
  • compatible with all Adapt12/9S12 boards (except those using 9S12NE64)
  • no power supply required-- draws power from USB port
  • includes power and activity indicator LEDs
  • based on a 9S12DP512 MCU running D-Bug12 version 4.0
  • supports baud rates up to 115K (default is 9600 baud)
  • compatible with NoICE12 debugger
  • equipped with non-slip rubber feet
  • supplied with USB cable

Chips supported:

68HC812A4, 68HC912B32, 68HC912BC32, 68HC912D60/A, 68HC912DA128/A, 68HC912DG128/A, 68HC912DT128/A, and all current 9S12 derivatives (supports 5V operation only). Can communicate with 9S12XD chips, but does not support Flash erase/program nor the XGATE co-processor. MicroBDM12XG is the recommended alternative for 9S12XD and 9S12XA chips.
